Butts County election director accepts position in Chatham

Butts County is searching for a new election director. Election Supervisor Brook Schreiner has accepted the position of Elections Supervisor for the Chatham County Board of Elections. Her last day in Butts County will be Dec. 31 as she starts her new job on Feb. 2. Schreiner has led the county’s election office for the past four years. Before coming to Butts County, Schreiner worked with Henry County Elections and Voter Registration from 2011 to 2021 as an Elections Supervisor. She is a Georgia Elections Official-certified professional and is active in the Georgia Association of Voter Registration and Elections Officials. “From the very beginning, this community made me feel at home,” said Schreiner of her time in Butts County. “I am deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and collaboration I have experienced from voters, poll workers, staff, elected officials, and community partners. Together, we have worked to strengthen election operations, improve transparency, and ensure that every voter has confidence in the electoral process.
