Rakeem Rydell Walker, 31, of Buffalo Lane, was convicted Wednesday of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor in connection with an Aug. 17, 2016, assault at a home on Raynor Lane, according to the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. The girl, who had turned 12 the day before, was at a friend’s home for a birthday celebration and sleepover when the assault occurred in the living room while others slept, authorities said. The girl later reported that Walker repeatedly groped her and forced her to perform oral sex, prompting an adult in the home to call police and the girl’s mother.
