Bartow County Commissioner Steve Taylor at his March 11 public meeting approved a detour connected to bridge upgrades and several grant awards. County Engineer Mark Cox asked Taylor to approve a hold harmless agreement with IDI Logistics to allow part of its driveway to be used as a detour. This summer Bartow County will upgrade two bridges on Cassville White Road. They are both located within two miles of the I-75 interchange, and both cross tributaries of Pettit Creek. They are currently 9 feet wide, and will be widened to around 11 feet. “IDI has agreed to allow temporary use of their private driveway for a detour for internal traffic only,” Cox said. “… IDI constructed this driveway three or four years ago.” A portion of Cass-White Road will need to be closed during construction, Cox said. “T
