NORRISTOWN — As organizers prepare for a wave of No Kings protests to take place across the nation this weekend, advocates in the Philadelphia region anticipate people coming to the Montgomery County courthouse in droves. A planned NO KINGS 3.0 protest is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday on the courthouse steps, 2 E. Airy St., in Norristown. While Indivisible is overseeing the large-scale event, six local organizations under its umbrella are planning the local rally. A slate of speakers includes elected officials and community leaders who are expected to express their frustrations against the Trump Administration’s policies and the impacts that have trickled down. “As President Trump’s attempts to rule through oppression escalate, the No Kings movement is needed more than ever.
