(MCEDC) has hired a new chief operating officer following a months-long search. Jessica Reynolds, who starts April 20, joins MCEDC from the Maryland Department of Commerce. [ Washington Business Journal ] A juvenile was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Wheaton on Monday evening. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to the crash near the intersection of Reedie Drive and Georgia Avenue. [ DC News Now ] Sathvik Dasari, a 10th grader at Poolesville High School, is one of 55 students scheduled to be honored at the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C., this June. His winning project is a low-cost mobile air quality monitoring system.
