It’s a busy week for teachers, students, and staff in Franklin County as they prepare for the start of the new school year on Thursday. The week begins today with convocation at the Telford Performing Arts Center on the campus of Franklin County High School. Convocation is a time to announce the individual teachers of the year and the overall school system teacher of the year as well as support persons of the year. School Superintendent Melanie Burton Brown said, however, this year’s convocation will be shorter than normal.
