Some dogs never lose hope, no matter how long they have to wait. Smiley is one of those special souls. This beautiful 4-year-old mixed breed girl came to Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter after being brought in by the City of Hartwell. For the past three weeks, she’s watched other dogs pack their bags and head home with their new families. Each time, she greets them with a wagging tail and the sweetest smile, patiently hoping that one day it will be her turn. Smiley truly lives up to her name. She has a gentle heart, a loving spirit, and a smile that can brighten anyone’s day. All she’s missing is a family to share her love with. She is ready today to leave the shelter behind and begin the next chapter of her life—a chapter filled with cozy beds, belly rubs, walks, and people who will love her forever.
