Published 3:31 pm Monday, August 10, 2026 MOULTRIE – UGA students participating in the Look Ahead Georgia program recently wrapped up a summer of professional growth and community engagement. During their final weeks, interns visited the Rotary Club of Moultrie, where they connected with local leaders, expanded their professional networks and reflected on their internship experiences. The summer concluded with a reception honoring interns and supervisors for their contributions to host organizations as well as the Colquitt County community. Throughout the program, interns gained hands-on experience and developed a deeper appreciation for opportunities in rural Georgia. Many said their time in Moultrie gave them a new perspective on their hometown, from appreciating the rural landscape during daily commutes and recognizing residents’ generosity, to observing efforts to support growth and maintain the community’s prosperity. Look Ahead Georgia is made possible through strong partnerships with the Chill C. Farms, Colquitt County School District, Colquitt Regional Health System, Georgia Department of Transportation, Inspired Wealth Planning, and Southern Regional Technical College, along with support from the UGA Archway Partnership, UGA Career Center and the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development. To learn more, please contact Sara Hand, Colquitt County Archway Professional, at sara.hand@uga.edu.
