THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – Thomasville Police are clarifying that an incident reported at a high school in a city named “Thomasville” did not happen in Thomasville, Georgia. In a statement late Wednesday morning, the police department issued the clarification after becoming aware of the incident related to a high school in Thomasville in a different state. “Preliminary information suggests an incident occurred in a Thomasville in another state,” police said. “Please be aware, this incident did NOT occur in Thomasville, Ga.” Authorities emphasized that there’s no threat to students or citizens in the South Georgia city.
