Apex Climbing & Spa invites new and returning students to “crush their comeback” at the Apex Student Welcome Party. Interested individuals can join them for a day of rock climbing, training, paddling, recovering and studying over coffee at Wire Park in Watkinsville, Georgia, on Thursday, Aug. 27, according to a flyer. For $10, students with a valid student ID attending the University of Georgia, the University of North Georgia, Athens Technical College and Piedmont University receive all-day access to climbing. Early climbing begins at 3 p.m and glow-in-the-dark climbing begins at 8 p.m. Patrons are invited to use Apex’s 24/7 fitness and spa, stop by their specialty coffee bar, enjoy the music and hang out with other students. On top of all-day activities, the After-Hours Party begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 9:30 p.m. Admission to the party is free. Email notifications are only sent once a day, and only if there are new matching items. Read the digital edition of the newspaper
