GDC special agent arrested for alleged misuse of Flock cameras in Putnam County, GBI says

PUTNAM COUNTY, GA. (WGXA) — A Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) special agent is behind bars for allegedly misusing Flock camera system data in Putnam County. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said its agents were requested to investigate Special Agent in Charge Robert “Bobby” Michael Keim, 45, of Eatonton after the GDC reported that its Flock Safety System was misused on August 18. The GBI says it found Keim used the Flock cameras for "non-law enforcement purposes," and he was arrested and charged with misuse of a license plate reader system on Monday. He is currently being held in the Putnam County Jail. This investigation remains ongoing, and WGXA has reached out to the GDC to learn if Keim was fired from his position. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Milledgeville at 478-445-4173 or submit an anonymous tip online. Keim's arrest comes after law enforcement officers across Georgia have been fired and arrested for misusing Flock camera data, including officers in Bibb, Baldwin and Houston counties. Stick with WGXA as we learn more and keep you ready for what's next.
