ASW Distillery is now University of Georgia Athletics’ official craft spirits partner, according to a press release. The Hunker Spirits, specifically Hunker Vodka and Hunker Bourbon, will be distributed across Georgia with United Distributors this football season. ASW Distillery is the first and only official craft spirits partner of Georgia Athletics, according to a press release. The co-founders, Jim Chasteen and Charlie Thompson, were roommates during their undergraduate years at UGA, and have built the business up over the past 10 years. According to a press release, ASW Distillery is the most awarded U.S. craft distillery at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and has cultivated a reputation in the industry. The co-founders are now bringing that reputation back to Athens, where it all started. "This one is personal for us. Five of us on the ASW team are Georgia grads, and UGA is really where this company started, long before we ever distilled a drop,” Chasteen said in a press release. “Getting to stand alongside Georgia Athletics is one of the things we're proudest of in our first ten years. Go Dawgs." Hunker Vodka and Hunker Bourbon are for ages 21 and older, and ASW Distillery wants customers to drink responsibly.
