AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A man convicted of murder, armed robbery and kidnapping in Taliaferro County has been released on parole to an Atlanta-based residential program, according to the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles. Nathan Brown was paroled effective Tuesday, records show. The certificate sent to us lists convictions for murder, armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping. The board states Brown will remain under supervision until expiration of his sentence, listed as Dec. 31, 8888. Under his parole plan, Brown will reside at an Atlanta-based transitional housing program in Fulton County under supervision of the Atlanta Circuit, according to the board. Special conditions of his parole include no contact with family members of one of the victims, complying with Georgia sex offender notification law, undergoing substance abuse assessments at his own cost and paying $30 per month to the Georgia crime victim’s compensation fund. Standard conditions bar Brown from possessing firearms or deadly weapons, leaving the state or changing residence without permission and violating any laws. He must participate in a rehabilitation plan, submit to drug testing and warrantless searches, maintain employment or pursue education and report to his community supervision officer within 24 hours of release. The board notes that violation of any condition may result in his immediate arrest and parole revocation. Copyright 2026 WRDW/WAGT. All rights reserved.
