Newton sees strong in-person advance voting turnout

COVINGTON — Voters across the state have set new records for early voting in the Nov. 3 mid-term General Election, and Newton County is part of the trend. The early voting period ended Friday and — as of 12 noon — 2,455,253 Georgia voters had cast advance in-person ballots. In Newton County, early in-person voting totaled 27,570 as of 12 noon — which exceeds the advance in-person voting in the 2022 mid-term election and is more than 50% of all votes cast in that election.
