Barrow County elections equipment passes state audit

Barrow County is pleased to announce that its elections equipment has successfully passed a parallel audit conducted by the Georgia Secretary of State's Office. Barrow County was among four counties statewide randomly selected to participate in the state's parallel audit, which involved thorough testing of the county's elections equipment to verify its accuracy and proper operation. "We are proud of the results of this audit and grateful to our elections staff, poll workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication to upholding our election integrity," said Barrow County Elections Director Monica Franklin. "Our team takes great pride in serving our community, and we remain committed to conducting elections with the highest level of professionalism. Maintaining public confidence in our elections is a responsibility we take very seriously." The equipment – a single voting machine from the North Metro Baptist Church precinct – was taken first thing Tuesday morning before polls opened at 7 a.m., ensuring no disruption to the voting process.
