The Exchange Club of Waycross recently welcomed Dr. Brian T. Grisez, orthopedic surgeon with the Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia, as its guest speaker for its weekly luncheon meeting. Dr. Grisez shared insight into the world of orthopedic care and the advancements that are helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain and return to the activities they enjoy. His address also gave members an opportunity to learn more about the specialized orthopedic services available right here in the Waycross community. Dr. Grisez specializes in joint replacement surgery, including total hip replacements using the anterior approach, partial knee replacements, total knee replacements and revision procedures. His background also includes experience in research, teaching and advanced clinical techniques, and he has presented on orthopedic topics across the United States. The Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia focuses on providing patient-centered orthopedic care while helping individuals improve their quality of life through both surgical and nonsurgical treatment. The practice serves patients throughout Southeast Georgia, including at its Waycross location on Memorial Drive.
