Published 1:42 pm Tuesday, July 28, 2026 TIFTON — Animal lovers and art aficionados alike will find plenty to love in Artful Hearts, a collaborative exhibition from a pair of local nonprofits celebrating man’s many best friends. Depicting the dogs, cats, birds, and other pets of the participating artists in a myriad of creative mediums, the joint showcase between the Tifton Council for the Arts and the Tift Animal Rescue is as much an expression of love for the furry, fluffy, and feathered companions of the Friendly City as it is a show of support for the efforts of the local animal shelter. Every piece in the gallery is available for purchase, the proceeds benefitting the Tift Animal Rescue in their work to advocate for the animals of the community. Organizers also hosted fundraising events on behalf of the shelter during the exhibition’s opening reception the evening of July 24, inviting patrons to bid on items in a silent auction or donate to the Tift Animal Rescue for a sketch of their own pet. Unlike last year’s Artful Hearts, which lasted for only one night, the second showing of the exhibit will be both larger and longer-lasting, sporting a wider selection of local artists and remaining on display through the week.
