Baldwin County secures $2.2 million housing grant to support growth Baldwin County has been awarded a $2,208,899 rural workforce housing grant from Gov. Brian Kemp’s OneGeorgia Authority. The funding will help develop more than 100 single-family homes on Fraizer Drive, addressing the urgent need for affordable housing amid ongoing job growth. County Manager Carlos Tobar said the project will support new business and workforce expansion. Homes will be priced at an initial $174,900, with public safety workers, teachers and nurses receiving priority access. Construction is set to begin immediately, with the infrastructure design phase scheduled for the fall and homes expected to be ready by next year.
