On Wednesday, Channel 2 Action News went behind the scenes in restricted sections of the building. It was a tour for members of the state’s nonpartisan Election Integrity Task Force. “Georgia runs the most secure, accurate, fast elections in the entire country. Bar none,” Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said. Raffensperger says early voting has been free, fair and fast. “What are you hearing statewide?” a task force member asked. Not many complaints, officials say. In Cherokee County, barely a handful. “We’re voting right at 5,000 a day,” Director of Elections Anne Dover said. Raffensperger says the voter rolls are clean and accurate, voter ID is mandatory, and you can take the final results to the bank. “We’re going to beat you to death with audits. I feel sorry for the candidates who come up short. They’ll be told three times that they lost,” Raffensperger said. [SIGN UP: WSB-TV Daily Headlines Newsletter]
