For the period, Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) collections totaled $1,210,175.19 , marking a 0.47% increase ($5,655.48) over the same period last year. Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) collections reached $744,051.68 , up 0.5% ($3,677.25) compared with January 2025. Meanwhile, Floyd County Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) revenue remitted to Gordon County totaled $1,195,902.88 . Under Georgia law and a county agreement, the proceeds are distributed to participating local governments as follows: Gordon County receives $753,418 (63%) , Calhoun $418,566.01 (35%) , Fairmount $16,742.64 (1.4%) , and Plainville $7,175.42 (0.6%) . This funding is earmarked to reduce next year’s millage rate as approved by voters. The city of Resaca does not participate in FLOST, as it does not levy an ad valorem tax.
