The baby girl was surrendered March 27 in Richland County. She was born March 22 at a local hotel and weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 17.3 inches long at birth. After delivery, EMS transported the infant to Lexington Medical Center. She was later transferred to Prisma Health Richland for additional medical care. Under the Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, Richland County DSS took custody of the infant.
