JDA looks back on 20 years of success

Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority held its annual meeting Feb. 17 and used the opportunity to report on growth over the last 20 or so years. “The JDA was born in 2004,” said Chairman James Jarrett. “We had our first project in 2005, which was [Toyo Tires]. We made some projections around 2005 of what the next 20-25 years would look like.” According to data provided by the JDA, projections from 2005 showed $73 million in outflows, $90 million in projected inflows, and a projected return on investment of $17 million.
