Photo provided On Wednesday, March 5, the Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) attended Georgia Tourism Day at the Capitol in Atlanta. The event brought together tourism leaders from across the state to celebrate the important role tourism plays in Georgia’s economy. Liberty County’s delegation, alongside others from throughout the state, had the honor of presenting a ceremonial $5.1 billion check to Governor Brian Kemp, representing the annual state and local tax revenues generated by travel and tourism. Representing Liberty County were historian Hermina Glass-Hill; Krystal Hart, president of the Seabrook Village Foundation; Flemington City Council member Mike Patel; and Ami Traore of the Seabrook Village Foundation. The group shared information about Liberty County’s rich history and attractions while also gaining insights from other communities to help strengthen local tourism efforts.
