Lt . Gov . Burt Jone camp responds to Rick Jackson lawsuit | News

Billionaire healthcare company CEO and self-described “former foster child and Trump-supporting businessman” Rick Jackson has filed a lawsuit in federal court to prevent Butts County native Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones from using funds in his leadership committee for his gubernatorial campaign. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and an injunction to prevent Jones’ leadership committee from spending any money was filed on Wednesday, Feb. 11, according to a press release distributed by Jackson’s campaign. “The days of Burt Jones playing by his own set of rules to benefit himself are coming to an end,” Jackson campaign spokesman Dave Abrams said. Jones has called out Jackson’s company for helping “abort babies and transition transgender minors” and paying for ads with funds from planned parenthood. “This silly lawsuit has been unsuccessfully attempted twice already by the other never-Trump candidates in this race and will fail a third time,” said Jones campaign spokesperson Kayla Lott. “Not remotely surprising that the grifter crew surrounding Rick Jackson convinced him to waste more of his money.” Georgia voters will narrow down the list of candidates this May before making the
