The Lavonia Police Department’s new K-9, Officer Lobo, not only has a great job protecting the public but also has a home with his handler, Corporal Justen Parten, and now the best food for life from Purina. Recently, Nestlé Purina PetCare’s Hartwell factory donated Purina Pro Plan® dog food to the Lavonia Police Department in support of Officer Lobo. As the department’s sole K9, Lobo plays an important role in helping officers protect and serve the Lavonia community. From assisting with law enforcement operations to supporting public safety efforts, K9 officers like Lobo rely on proper nutrition to perform at their best. Mackenzie Browning, Factory Manager at Nestlé Purina Hartwell, said in a press release, Purina is proud to support K9 Lobo and the Lavonia Police Department. “Working dogs perform demanding and important jobs every day, and providing high-quality nutrition is one small way Purina can help support the health, strength, and performance they need to serve their communities,” Browning said. “The donation reflects Purina Hartwell’s ongoing commitment to giving back to local organizations and supporting those who make a difference across Northeast Georgia.” Browning went on to say that Purina Hartwell appreciates the dedication of local law enforcement officers, both two-legged and four-legged, and Lobo is an important member of the department.
