The Hart County Board of Elections will enter the next election cycle with a new Elections Superintendent. Filling that position is Lacy Sanders, who previously served as the Election Clerk. Former Election Superintendent Robin Webb resigned in June for another career opportunity. As Superintendent, Sanders will plan, organize, and execute all federal, state, county, and municipal elections and primaries held within Hart County. She will also manage voter registration applications, maintain accurate active and inactive voter lists, process address or precinct updates, and handle voter file maintenance or purges under the Georgia Election Code. The Elections Superintendent also hires and oversees poll workers and conducts qualifying for county and local elections. Mid-term Elections are Tuesday, November 3. Early voting runs from October 13th – 30th. The last day to register to vote or to find out if you are still registered in Hart County is October 5th.
