FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A judge denied bond for the man accuse d of killing a woman outside of Palmetto Elementary School last month. Court officials said Fulton County Superior Court Judge Belinda Edwards denied bond for Christopher Ates on Tuesday. He faces murder and other charges. On Feb. 10, Palmetto Elementary went on a hard lockdown when a 34-year-old woman was shot and killed outside the school. The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified her as Eboni Anderson. The isolated shooting, which did not involve any students or staff, happened just outside the school building. Anderson was delivering for DoorDash at the time she was shot. In a letter sent home to parents, school officials said the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute that spilled over onto school grounds. Arrest warrants for Ates indicate that just after 11 a.m. that morning, Anderson pulled up to the school. She got out of her car and walked around to the rear passenger side door. Warrants indicate the video showed the suspect, Ates, get out of the passenger side front door and shoot Anderson. He fled the scene in the car, according to the warrants.
