ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An overturned concrete truck snarled traffic on I-20 in Newton County on Thursday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. The truck overturned on I-20 east just past the Rockdale County line, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s office said deputies responded and heavy-duty wreckers worked to upright the truck. The accident closed the right lane of the interstate, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The lane has since reopened. The sheriff’s office urged drivers to be cautious when traveling through the area and consider using an alternate route to avoid delays. This is a developing story.
