Pamela Delancy, Democratic Candidate for 10th Congressional District Visits Franklin County – 92.1 WLHR

The Democratic candidate for the 10th Congressional District to replace Congressman Mike Collins made a stop in Franklin County this week. Pamela Delancy is running against Republican Houston Gaines. In an interview with Delancy, she said she’s running because as a 39-year veteran and registered nurse, she wants to continue working for the American people. Delancy also worked in the Pentagon for six years writing legislative policy for veterans. After retiring from the military in 2019, she became more involved in her community, serving on the County Board of Health, the local food bank, and is a member of the American Legion. One of the major planks of Delancy’s campaign is to resolve the healthcare and health insurance problem in Georgia. Delancy said one reason for that is Georgia’s refusal to use federal funds to expand Medicaid, which caused some rural hospitals to close or make major cutbacks. As for curbing inflation and the economy, Delancy said wages are not keeping up with inflation. If elected, Delancy said on her website that she will work to get a bill passed called The Real Deal Act of the 21st Century. You can read about it on her website at votepameladelancy.com. And you can hear my entire interview with Pamela Delancy this Sunday on Community Forum, at 12:03p, right after ABC News.
