City officials in Social Circle said in a social media post Wednesday that U.S. Rep. Mike Collins told them the property intended for the facility is now in escrow. The city said it has been told federal officials have already evaluated local utilities and that economic impact reports are being prepared. Housing at the facility could begin as early as April, city officials said.
