Protesters with Southern Crescent Indivisible of Georgia gathered bright and early on Tuesday, July 21 in front of the Butts County Historical Courthouse in Jackson. The group held signs that read “Send ICE to Iran,” “Immigrants Are Not Enemies,” “Support Veterans,” and “No War.” The group’s mission is “Demanding a real democracy — of, by and for the people.” They plan, organize, and participate in street protests, town halls, rallies, phone campaigns, letter/postcard campaigns and qualified candidate recruitment and volunteer support.
