State Farm Issuing Payments From $5B Cash Back Dividend – 92.1 WLHR

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company has begun issuing payments to qualifying auto customers as part of its one-time $5 billion cash-back dividend, the largest in the company’s 100-plus-year history. Millions of customers have already received their individual dividend payments, with more on the way. The dividend is being distributed in waves to eligible customers across more than 49 million State Farm Mutual auto vehicles. Each customer’s payment is based on a percentage of the premium paid for each qualifying policy in 2025. Percentages vary by state, ranging from 4% to 10%. Qualifying customers will be notified of their pending dividend payment by either an email from “[email protected]” or a letter in the mail. Meanwhile, Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John King announced a campaign to force auto insurance companies in Georgia to lower their rates and State Farm was one of the first in 2025 to announce major rate reductions, totaling an average of over 10%. In November 2025, King approved State Farm’s latest auto insurance rate filing, which he said would save Georgia policyholders an estimated $400 million annually, adding that on average, drivers can expect to save approximately $190 per insured vehicle as a result of the rate reduction.
