Cherokee County, has pleaded not guilty in his Fulton County case. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is seeking the death penalty in Long’s case under Georgia’s hate-crime statute. All four of the Fulton County victims were Asian women. On Monday, his attorneys pushed to suppress some evidence obtained during search and seizure. Judge Ural Glanville sided against him on all parts of the motion. The hearings come just shy of five years after the shootings. Long is accused of killing eight people, including six people of Asian descent. Judge Ural Glanville denied defense motions that sought to exclude evidence related to a social media account, Long’s car and records of his gun purchases.
