Investigators are releasing new details after a man who was wanted for a homicide in Georgia fled the state, leading to a massive manhunt in Davidson County, North Carolina, before he was taken into custody. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said Roy Joseph “Jojo” Larry Holloway, 52, of Georgia, is accused of killing Justin Thompson, 38, of Dawsonville, in Dawson County, Georgia, on Mar. 24. The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office said Holloway knew Thompson. They also said he left the shooting with a woman. A BOLO alert was later issued for both Holloway and the woman. Investigators at the time said the woman was wanted for questioning about the shooting. However, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said Holloway shot the woman and left her in Aiken, South Carolina. The woman is in stable condition at this time, according to investigators.
