CRH to Expand Metro Atlanta Footprint

CRH Is Bringing New Jobs and Big Plans to Georgia

Big news for Georgia! A company called CRH is opening a new office in Roswell, which is part of metro Atlanta. This new office will help CRH with money and business planning, and it will bring more than 300 new jobs to the area. CRH is spending $1.7 million to make this happen.

Governor Brian P. Kemp was excited to share the news. He said this is just more proof that Georgia is a great place for businesses to grow and hire workers. The Governor wants Georgia to stay the No. 1 state for business, and this new project helps keep that goal on track. What Does CRH Do?

CRH is a huge company that helps build roads, buildings, and other important places. They work with materials like concrete, asphalt, and gravel. If you’ve ever seen a road being paved or a sidewalk being poured, CRH might have helped with that.

CRH has teams in 28 countries and has almost 80,000 employees all over the world. Their United States headquarters is already in Atlanta, and now they’re growing even more by opening this special new center called a Shared Services Center (or SSC for short).

This new SSC will focus on the money side of the business—things like finance and accounting. CRH’s leaders said this center will help their work run more smoothly and help them serve their customers better all across North America.

Where Will It Be?

The new CRH office will be at 1120 Sanctuary Parkway in Roswell, Georgia. That’s not far from Atlanta. The company has already started hiring people, and by the year 2029, the new center will be fully staffed and running at full speed.

You can even apply to work there! If you’re interested in a job when you’re older, you can visit their website at www.crhamericas.com/careers to learn more.

What People Are Saying

A lot of important people are happy about CRH choosing Georgia for this big project.

Mayor Kurt Wilson of Roswell said that Roswell is a great place for families and businesses. The city has good schools, safe neighborhoods, pretty parks, and friendly people. He’s excited to welcome CRH to the community.

Robb Pitts, the Chairman of Fulton County, said this new center proves that Georgia has smart workers and great technology. He called Fulton County one of the top places for businesses to grow.

Katie Kirkpatrick, the President and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, said metro Atlanta is full of smart people who are ready to work. That’s one reason why companies from all over the world, like CRH, choose to open offices here.

Why Georgia?

Georgia makes it easy for companies to come and grow. There are good schools and colleges that teach students the skills they need. There are smart workers who want jobs. And people like living in Georgia because it has fun things to do and friendly neighborhoods.

Elizabeth McLean from the Georgia Department of Economic Development worked with CRH and the city of Roswell to help make this project happen. She teamed up with the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Select Fulton, and Georgia Power to help CRH feel welcome.

Commissioner Pat Wilson from the Department of Economic Development said that once the center is finished, CRH will have more than 1,400 employees working in Georgia.

Why This Is Good for Georgia

This is exciting news for Georgia because it means more jobsmore growth, and more opportunities for the people who live here. When big companies move in, it helps the whole community. People get hired, new stores and restaurants may open, and more people get to enjoy living in a great place like Roswell.
