THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 48-year-old Dearing woman died Wednesday evening after her car crashed into the woods along Old Milledgeville Road in McDuffie County, according to officials. McDuffie County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Tangla Brown. Authorities said the crash happened around 5:07 p.m. in the 2700 block of Old Milledgeville Road, near Wire Road. Officials said Brown was driving east when her car went off the road. She tried to correct, but crossed the center line and ran off the opposite side of the road into the woods. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:45 p.m., according to the coroner’s office. The Georgia State Patrol and the coroner’s office are still investigating the crash.
