The GBI has been called in to assist the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in the death of an individual in Carnesville. Sheriff Scott Andrews said they received a call Thursday evening regarding a welfare check/possible death of a person on Adeline Court. “Responding Sheriff’s Office personnel discovered that the scene was that of an unattended death, and out of an abundance of caution, we have called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in to investigate,” Andrews said. The Sheriff did not release any more information. He said there is no indication of any threats to the general public, and we appreciate your patience as we work on this investigation.
