Hart County citizens have one more chance this evening to make their voices heard as the county continues work on updating its comprehensive plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a plan for future growth over the next five to ten years and will shape and guide how that growth occurs. Adam Hazell, with the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, is helping Hart County shape the new Comprehensive Plan and has been holding public hearings throughout the summer to get citizen input. Another hearing takes place this evening at 6p at the Adult Learning Center on Benson St. in Hartwell. If you want to help steer the direction Hart County takes, you MUST participate. Hazell said public input is crucial; this comprehensive plan only reflects the priorities of the people who show up. And this could be your last chance to make your voice heard. Anyone with questions can contact Adam Hazell, GMRC Planning Director, at 770.538.2617 or [email protected].
