The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested and charged Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Errol Farrell Jr., 40, of Lithonia, with misuse of a license plate reader system. The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) asked the GBI to investigate allegations of misuse of the CCSO Flock Safety System, the GBI said in a Sept. 2 press release. Preliminary information indicates that Farrell used the Flock Safety System for non-law enforcement purposes, according to the GBI. Farrell turned himself in on Sept. 1 and was booked into the Clayton County Jail, the GBI said. The GBI’s investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the GBI Atlanta Regional Investigative Office in Conyers at 770-388-5019.
