ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Students at Sagamore Hills Elementary School in DeKalb County got a bit of extra excitement on the first day of school. A large tree fell near the campus on Monday morning, knocking out power in the area, according to messages sent to parents and Georgia Power. Students are being bussed to nearby Lakeside High School, they said, until the power comes back on. According to the Georgia Power outage map, 127 customers are impacted and they expect to have things restored by 12:30 p.m. Sagamore Hills is located off Alderbrook Road.
