The Metro Atlanta Film Summit is returning March 13 to the YANMAR EVO//Center in southwest Cherokee County, the Cherokee Office of Economic Development announced. The summit will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The YANMAR EVO//Center is located at 5889 Old Alabama Road near Acworth. The summit’s inaugural event was last year, drawing over 260 creatives, filmmakers, and industry professionals from across the metro region, COED reports. The MAFS launched from the Cherokee Film Summit that was held for five years. The Metro Atlanta Film Summit aims to connect people in the industry and offer opportunities to develop skills. Film professionals of all skillsets across the region are invited. According to COED, the summit features workshop-style breakout sessions, as well as keynote and feature presentations from industry standouts and thought leaders. Last year’s topics included camera tools, voiceover, accessibility in film, motion capture, film finance, and more. “MAFS brings together informed leadership from across the industry to foster conversations that keep Georgia’s film sector strong,” Molly Mercer, Director of Film at the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, said in a statem
